ADMISSION FOR TWO YEARS M.P.ED COURSE: 2025-2027

ADMISSION NOTICE

Online application are invited from the eligible female candidates for admission in M.P.Ed course for the session 2025-2027 (Two years regular course) at State Institute of Physical Education for Women, Hastings House, Alipore,  Kolkata – 27, affiliated by Calcutta University and recognized by NCTE as per the Govt. guideline stipulated in the G.O. 556-Edn (CS); Dated: 29th July, 2024.

Intake capacity – 25 [Subject to qualify the entrance test].  

 

Eligibility Criteria – As per NCTE Norms:

(a) Bachelor of Physical Education (B. P. Ed.) or equivalent with at least 50% marks.

     OR,

  Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Health and Physical Education with at least 50% marks.

(b) The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for

SC/ST/OBC/EWS shall be as per the rules of the Government of West Bengal.

  • The Age of the candidate should not be over 35 years as on 01-07-2025 (i.e. Born not before 1.7.1990).
  • Reservation of seat: As per rules of Govt. of West Bengal and University of Calcutta.
  • Starting date of Online Form fill up: 02.09.2025.
  • Closing date of Online Form fill up: 10.09.2025.
  • Publication of the list of eligible candidate for Entrance Test: 11.09.2025.
  • Date of Entrance Test (Physical Fitness Test) for M.P.Ed: 15.09.2025 (8 AM onwards).
  • Date of publication of list of provisionally selected candidates for Admission: 16.09.2025 (after 6PM).
  • Date of Admission in M.P.Ed course:  16.09.2025 to 18.09.2025.
  • Candidate who has appeared in the final semester Exam of the BPEd degree-2025 under any University but not yet received the results or final pass mark sheet can also apply for the M.P.Ed programme at this college.
  • In such case, if she provisionally selected then she must submit her BPEd final pass mark sheet at the time of final physical verification of all documents after provisional admission.
  • If any candidate will fail to submit the BPEd pass mark sheet during the physical verification time, her candidature will automatically terminated. 

Eligible candidate must upload the soft copy of the following testimonials/documents during the online form fill-up:

  • Madhyamik Admit Card/Certificate for age proof (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • B.P.Ed Pass Mark sheet, (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Highest Sports Participation Certificate,  (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Caste Certificate/EWS Certificate (if applicable) (Soft copy 50-150 KB)
  • Color Photograph (soft copy 20-50 KB)
  • Signature of the candidate (soft copy 20-50 KB)

For Admission in MPEd programme candidate must be appeared in the Entrance Test. The Entrance Test will be held on 15.09.25 at 8.00 am onwards at SIPEW, Hastings College Play Ground.
